Although there are many other primates and mammals in the park too.

Although the chimpanzees are the main attraction of the park, there are many other primates including baboons, vervet monkeys, red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and bush babies. Besides the primates, many other species of animals inhabit the tropical forests of the Gombe stream. Buffalo, Defassa waterbuck, leopards, crocodiles and hippos are common sights.
